Urgent Request: Help ID Kane County Businesses That Are 100 Years Old or More

Do you know of any Kane County businesses that are 100 years old or more?

In the lead-up to small business week, the first week of May, the Governor’s Office would like to identify Illinois small businesses (1-500 employees) that are 100 years old or older. The details are being worked out, but select companies (one representative from each) will be invited to Springfield for a press conference and photo with the governor.

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity‘s request to ID those 100-year-old businesses is fairly urgent — with a deadline of 9 a.m. Monday, April 24.

If you know of any off the top of your head, please contact Kane County Land Planner Chris Toth at TothChris@co.kane.il.us by 9 a.m. Monday. Toth will then relay the information to the IDOC folks.

Here’s the information needed for each company:

  • Full Name of the Company
  • Full Name of Owner (Ideally  or President/CEO to be invited
  • Two Sentences on the Company – Who They Are
  • Number of Employees
