Funeral Services, Memorial Set For Hampshire 17-Year-Old Who Died in Crash
Visitation is set for Sunday and funeral services Monday for the Hampshire High School student who was killed in a Saturday, May 13, crash near the intersection of Randall Road and South Street in Elgin.
Patryck Eric Curtis Stanley, 17, was born Nov. 5, 1999 in Geneva the son of Mark and Tamara (Twining) Stanley. He was a member of the junior class of Hampshire High School, a member of the lacrosse team and an active member of St. John Lutheran Church of Burlington.
“He was a good and decent kid, a child of God with a big heart for others,” his obituary says.
Surviving are his parents, Mark and Tamara; his sister, McKenna; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He was preceded in death by a special great-grandfather, George Curtis Farley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, at St. John Lutheran Church, 18N535 French Road, Burlington with the Rev. Patrick Pinion officiating. Private burial will be held in the Hampshire Center Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at St. John Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Patryck Stanley Memorial — to fund an educational scholarship for a needy student at Hampshire High School. The Fredrick Funeral Home in Hampshire is assisting the family. For more information, call 847-683-2711.
