Aurora’s Free Movies in the Park Summer Series Returns!
There’s nothing like a summer blockbuster sequel, and Aurora’s got just the ticket.
We’ll call it “Movies in the Park Summer Series Returns!”
Beginning on Saturday, June 3, families can enjoy free movies under the stars at the historic Phillips Park in Aurora.
- June 3 — Moana
- June 17 — Sing
- July 8 — Monster Trucks
- July 22 — Finding Dory
- Aug. 12 — The Lego Batman Movie
- Aug. 19 — Bollywood Night
Co-sponsored by the Phillips Park Zoociety, the Movies in the Park summer series features hit films on an outdoor jumbo screen. Immediately prior to each movie being shown at dusk, there are family activities, including music, dancing and giveaways.
The final event on Aug. 19 — Bollywood Night — is hosted by Aurora’s Indian American Community Outreach Advisory Board and will feature a popular Indian film and live Indian performances with Indian food for sale.
For each movie, guests should bring chairs, blankets and bug spray. Concession stands will be open and parking is available on site.
Movies are shown at dusk at the Phillips Park Sledding Hill next to the Phillips Park Aquatic Center, 1150 Howell Place.
