St. Charles Water Quality Meets or Exceeds EPA Standards
The city of St. Charles has released the 2017 Annual Water Quality Report, containing information on the quality of the water that the city provided last year. The city’s water met or exceeded all Environmental Protection Agency standards. The Water Quality Report is available at on this page of the St. Charles website.
The report includes details about where St. Charles water comes from, what it contains, and how it compares to the standards set by regulatory agencies. It lists the levels of all the regulated constituents, if any, that were detected in the water either over the preceding calendar year (2016) or the last sampling event.
“The city of St. Charles is committed to providing safe and clean drinking water to our residents, and we are always monitoring water quality,” said Tim Wilson, Environmental Services Division manager. “This report shows all the standards that we have to meet, and provides useful information to our water customers.”
Residents can also obtain copies of the report at the Municipal Building, 2 E. Main St. or the Public Works facility, 1405 S. 7th Ave. A notice was included on recent water bills to inform residents on where to find the report.
