This just in, from the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Lane closures will take place on Illinois 25 from Illinois 72 to Bolz Road in Carpentersville, East Dundee and Barrington Hills, beginning, weather permitting, today (Monday, July 10.)

“The closures are necessary for a resurfacing and improvement project along Illinois 25,” IDOT said in a late-Monday-afternoon news release.

In order to complete the work, daytime lane closures will take place along Illinois 25 between Illinois 72 and Boltz Road. Illinois 25 will be reduced to one lane in each direction, with flaggers, when necessary. Nighttime lane closures and sidewalk ramp closures also will be used throughout the duration of the project. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained.

The scope of the project consists of resurfacing, pavement patching and pedestrian improvements, including construction of pedestrian ramps that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The overall project is expected to be completed in Fall 2017.
