PHOTO STORY: One Person Airlifted After Monday Crash at Intersection of Routes 25 and 68
The Carpentersville Police Department and Fire Department worked a two-vehicle traffic accident at IL Route 25 and IL Route 68 this morning (Monday, July 24, 2017) that resulted in the use of the Flight for Life helicopter.
The single adult victim was air lifted from the scene with what initially appeares to be non-life threatening injuries.
The following police and fire departments responded to the accident and assisted in the Flight for Life Operation:
- Carpentersville Police Department
- East Dundee Police Department
- Carpentersville Fire Department
- East Dundee Fire Department
- West Dundee Fire Department
Carpentersville Police Chief Michael J. Kilbourne said he was impressed with how well the agencies worked together to perform the airlift.
“All of the public safety departments involved worked well together to coordinate the safe extrication of the traffic accident victim from the vehicle to the Flight for Life helicopter,” he said. “We would (also) like to thank the Dundee Park District Dolphin Cove staff for their help in quickly clearing the parking lot for use of the Flight for Life helicopter.”
