FREE Google Digital Coaching Workshop Aug. 31 at Aurora’s IN2
Google is bringing a free digital coach program to Aurora’s IN2 at IMSA, and you’re invited.
The Google Digital Coach Program will present “Digital Marketing & Advertising 101” by Birk Creative from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 31, at IN2 @IMSA, 1500 Sullivan Road.
Marcus Yancey, deputy director of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity’s Office of Minority Economic Empowerment, says to sign up now, because this workshop is first-rate.
“This type of service/workshop normally would cost participants a substantial amount of money, but we have the opportunity to have experts come out and do this for FREE!” he said. “Please let members of your organization know about this workshop as dates are filling up fast. This is an opportunity that your members don’t want to miss out on.”
The Google Digital Coach Program is providing digital coaching to communities in five metropolitan cities throughout the nation, and Chicago is one of them. Fortunately for Kane County residents, the “Chicago” program is happening at IN2 @IMSA.
At the workshop, you’ll receive guidance on improving your business’ web presence, designing your first online ad, working with social media, the importance of branding and your unique selling proposition. You’ll also get listed on Google Search, get a virtual “billboard” and get found on maps.
Organizers recommend you bring your laptop or mobile device for this interactive experience.

At Google, we believe in bringing the benefits of technology to all people and foster a world that thrives on broad range of perspectives, ideas, and experiences. Our Digital Coaches program is designed to provide equal opportunity for all business owners and entreprenuers to grow and thrive online.
We have identified community leaders, like JinJa Birkenbeuel, CEO of Birk Creative, that are passionate about creating economic opportunities for businesses currently underrepresented on the web and in Google’s customer base. The coaches themselves are respected entrepreneurs, small business owners and influential community leaders who understand the unique needs of your business.
As a business owner, you will receive guidance on improving your web presence, learn how to reach new customers online and grow your business using Google’s online advertising platform aka Google AdWords.
