2017 North Aurora Community Parade Has New Route on Sept. 17

The 2017 North Aurora Community Parade will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, using a new route this year.

“Please note the parade route has changed this year,” the village of North Aurora said in a Tuesday news release.

The parade will begin at Blessed Sacrament Church and will end at Goodwin Elementary School. The route will take the parade down Oak Street to Willow Way, then to Harmony Drive.

“During the parade residents living on or near these streets may not be able to exit the subdivision while the parade is in progress,” officials said. “Please note that the parade is anticipated to take about 30 minutes to pass a home, so traffic should not be restricted for an extended period of time.

Additionally, parking will not be allowed on the parade route the day of the parade. If you have questions or concerns please contact Village Hall at 630-897-8228.

The eighth annual parade is organized by the North Aurora Mothers Club and this year recognizes “20 years of community pride.”
