6th Annual St. Charles Jazz Weekend to Feature 27 Live Performances

The 6th Annual St. Charles Jazz Weekend is set to host free, live jazz music Sept. 7 through Sept. 10 in downtown St. Charles.

The jazz weekend features 27 performances set between 16 venues for brunch, dinner, and late night entertainment.

Dana Hall

This year’s venues include ROX City Grill, Abby’s Breakfast & Lunch, Brunch Café, Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, The Filling Station Pub & Grill, The House Pub, McNally’s Traditional Irish Pub, First Street Plaza, Vintage 53 Wine Bar, Lazarus House, and The Office Dining & Spirits.

The venues will host many performances from jazz soloists to quintets that cover a range of jazz styles at no charge for their in-house guests. Three-time Grammy Award winning Saxophonist Frank Catalano will headline at The Filling Station Pub & Grill on Thursday evening and play again at The House Pub on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Jenna Sawicki, executive director of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, says she’s excited about this year’s lineup, which features John Wojciechowski, Dana Hall along with Grammy-Award-winning artist Frank Catalano.

“Not only do we have some new venues this year — including Brunch Cafe, Vintage 53 Wine Bar and Abby’s Breakfast & Lunch — we are pleased to continue partnering with businesses like ROX City Grill, McNally’s Traditional Irish Pub, The Office and The House Pub.”

The Kane County Chronicle and Shaw Media have again partnered with the Downtown St. Charles Partnership on this event to help reach jazz enthusiasts. This year, Gerald Kia is the Presenting Sponsor for St. Charles Jazz Weekend, and Sterling Bank is a Gold Sponsor for the event.
