If you’ve ever thought about becoming a painter, drywall finisher, glazier or industrial coatings specialist, there’s a unique opportunity coming up in Aurora, where you can learn about apprenticeships in those trades.

A free Apprenticeship Open House will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Painters District Council No.30, 1905 Sequoia Dr., Aurora.

Attendees will have a chance to learn more about the North Central Illinois Finishing Trades Institute’s apprenticeship programs for the occupations of painter decorator, drywall finisher, glazier, industrial coatings and linings application specialists.

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, the event offers a guided tour of the training center and an opportunity to meet with PDC30 leaders, instructors and apprentices to learn more about apprenticeship opportunities through the North Central Illinois Finishing Trades Institute.

The event is free and open to the public and business community. Refreshments and light lunch will be served.
