Jobs Available For Substitute School Nurses in Kane County

Are you a registered nurse with free time and looking to make extra income while also giving back to the community? Then becoming a substitute school nurse may be a great option for you.

The Kane County Human Resources Consortium recently presented to the Regional Office of Education the growing need for substitute nurses in Kane County schools. KCHRC is a cooperative effort among the nine public K-12 school districts and the Regional Office of Education.

“School nurses play an important role in our schools and their expertise is always helpful in aiding students,” said Regional Superintendent Patricia Dal Santo. “Not only do nurses provide first aid care, they also provide important emergency care and counseling for both students and staff.”

Registered nurses interested in being a substitute school nurse can contact their local school district for more information on becoming a substitute and visit teachinkane.org to view posted substitute vacancies.
