Lazarus House Invites You To A Community Thanksgiving Feast
Lazarus House invites you to join its staff, guests, and many supporters at our annual Thanksgiving Feast to be held on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army St. Charles Tri-Cities Corps, 1710 S. 7th Ave. in St. Charles.
The potluck-style buffet, which is at no charge, gives you the opportunity to enjoy delicious food, entertainment and rich fellowship. In addition to the guests at Lazarus House, the feast has become the family meal for many who live by themselves or do not have family in the area.
“Come meet new friends and share a meal with the neighbors in your community,” said Anne Stephans, Lazarus House volunteer and special events coordinator.
Plans are already under way for food and supply donations, and Lazarus House encourages attendees to sign up now.
“We need many items and many food dishes to make the event a success, so please consider donating,” Stephans said.
For people who want to cook, organizers ask that the food arrive in a disposable container, and come hot and ready to serve between 11:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Visit the website at lazarushouse.net for a list of foods and items needed. Email Stephens at volunteer@lazarushouse.net or call her at 630-587-2144 to sign up.
