The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps will distribute more than 300 meals to families in need form 1 p..m to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, with help from the Kane County Cougars. Families who pre-registered through Nov. 15 will receive a Thanksgiving meal complete with all the trimmings, according to Lt. Betsy Clark, corps officer of The Salvation Army Tri-City Corps Joe K. Anderson Community Center.

The mission on The Salvation Army is to meet basic human needs, and through generous donations received from the Manski Family Foundation, Kane County Cougars, and an anonymous donor families will receive nutritious food to meet that need through the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Salvation Army food pantry provides food for morethan 15,000 people year-round. Generous financial donations and food donations sustain the pantry to provide for families in need.

The Salvation Army red kettle campaign raises funds to support programs like the food pantry and other services including youth programming, senior meals, health and education classes, and emergency disaster services. Volunteers are needed to ring bells and can register online at www.registertoring.com or by calling Deanna at 630-377-2769.
