Sugar Grove Police Chief Pat Rollins said Foster entered a business in the 300 block of Sugar Grove Parkway, Sugar Grove, around 3 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, and attacked a woman employed at the business.

Foster had a previous relationship with the victim, and they had previous domestic disputes with one another.

“This was not a random event as the offender knew the victim,” Rollins said in a news release.

Foster fired a gun, struck the victim and physically attacked her, causing additional injuries, police said.

Foster immediately fled in a vehicle from the scene and was last seen driving a black 2004 Lexus ES 330 sedan with Illinois plate number G641943.

The victim remains hospitalized.

Foster is believed to be armed. Anyone who sees him or knows of his location should immediately call 911.

This is an ongoing investigation as the Sugar Grove Police Department along with the assistance from the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force actively pursue Foster as he had fled the scene.
