Looking To Volunteer? Resource Fair Set For Feb. 3

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to do more volunteer work, you’re in luck. A Community Resource and Volunteer Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3, in Batavia.

Likewise, if you’re involved in a non-profit organization and are looking for volunteers, there’s still time to become a vendor at the expo.

“There are so many wonderful organizations dedicated to making the Tri-Cities a great place to live, work and play, and many could not operate without the help of people like you!” the Batavia Park District said in a news release this week.

The Community Resource and Volunteer Fair will showcase those local resources on from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St.

Stop by the Community Resource and Volunteer Fair to chat with representatives from local groups to find out how you can get involved and donate your time, expertise or resources.

“Whether you’re interested in animals, education, or the arts, there’s sure to be an organization that matches your passion!” the news release said.

Additional spots are available for non-profits interested in becoming a vendor at the expo. The cost is just $15, which includes an 8-foot table, recruitment opportunities, and refreshments.
