With all the harsh winter weather of late, isn’t it kind of nice to think spring?

Registration for Fox Valley Park District spring programs begins Feb. 10. Residents may register for spring programs and events beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.

To register, each household must set up an account in Foxlink. Once the account is established, there’s no need to visit a facility to register; the upgraded system provides each user with the ability to manage registration and payment info exclusively online.

Registrants can also view and track activity schedules for each family member and access information on rental availability at various facilities and parks.

Fox Valley Park District is offering hundreds of programs and activities for youth, adults and seniors, ranging from sports to nature programs to performing arts and expanded offerings of health, wellness and fitness programs. Registration is taken in one of three ways:

• Foxlink Internet: Allows convenient registration from anywhere, 24/7. Visit www.foxvalleyparkdistrict.org, click the Foxlink tab and establish your household account. Residency status will be verified by Geographic Information Systems – no need to visit a facility to show proof.
• Mail-in: Fill out a registration form and mail to FVPD, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora, IL 60506. Make checks payable to Fox Valley Park District.
• Walk-in/drop-off registration: Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 10, registrations will be processed during regular business hours at the Prisco Community Center, Eola Community Center and Vaughan Athletic Center.

For resident families and individuals who are approved for the Park District’s scholarship program, registration is available on Saturday in-person at the community centers and beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, at the Cole Center (101 W. Illinois Ave. in Aurora).

Scholarship applications are available here. Approval typically takes 4-6 weeks.

Non-resident registration will begin the following week on Monday, Feb. 19. All registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and must be accompanied by payment.
