I (Heart) Better Soil: Free Valentine’s Day Forum Looks at Composting For Landscape Pros

Looking for something a little different to do on Valentine’s Day? How about that free composting forum in Wheaton?

OK, maybe not the most romantic of all proposals, but you have to give credit to the organizers, who came up with the interesting theme and title for the event:

“Getting to the HEART of Better Soil Through Composting.”

The free composting forum is being held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Valentine’s Day (Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018) in Cantigny Park, 1-S-151 Winfield Road, Wheaton.

The forum is targeted primarily for professional landscapers or people who maintain or operate large open spaces — golf courses, park districts, athletic fields, college or university campuses or home owners associations.

Participants will learn about the benefits of compost for improving soil quality for turf and landscape management, how it impacts the bottom line, and how to identify the right compost for your needs. Check out the full AGENDA!

The forum is put on by Seven Generations Ahead, SCARCE, DuPage and Kane counties, and the Illinois Food Scrap Coalition.

It is free to REGISTER and includes a continental breakfast
