New Poster Format, Spanish Translation Make Recycling Easier

The Recycling office at Kane County in the Division of Environmental and Water Resources is located at the Government Center in Geneva. The staff of the Environmental section of our division report to the Energy and Environmental Committee, which is a committee made of County Board members.

At the Energy and Environmental Committee meeting in January, I presented on the 2018 Kane County Recycles Green Guide, which contains a great new Recycling Guidelines poster. (See page 11 of the Green Guide.)

During the meeting, it was suggested by board member Jarett Sanchez (District 24) that we translate the new Recycling Guidelines into Spanish to make them accessible to a larger percentage of Kane County residents. Great idea, and easily done!

We are now happy to present the new Cartelón del Guía de Reciclado en Español, professionally translated and produced at no cost by staff in the Division of Environmental and Water Resources.

It is available online in two file formats (pdf and jpeg) that you can download and print. You can also download a double-sided bilingual version to print.

If you want a copy or a number of paper copies sent to you via postal mail, please contact us at recycle@countyofkane.org or 630-208-3841. I can also email you the files if you like.

The great thing about these new guidelines is that they are presented in a poster format, which can be hung above the recycling bin at home or at work! Please help spread the word about this great resource now available online or by mail.
