UPDATE: Bradie Brings Home Bronze in Olympics Figure Skating Team Competition
Kane County’s very own Bradie Tennell will bring home at least one medal — a bronze earned Feb. 11 in the Figure Skating Team Event.
The Carpentersville native did her part, performing near flawlessly in her short program as part of the USA figure skating team that also included Nathan Chen, Adam Rippon, Mirai Nagasu, Alexa Scimeca-Knierim, Chris Knierim, Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani.
How did they get there? Each team member contributed a strong finish to contribute to the overall point total.
Canada won the gold medal for team figure skating, while Olympic athletes from Russia took second.
There’s a lot of figure skating to come, and more opportunities for Tennell to earn hardware.
