Drug Charges Confirmed Against 50-Year-Old After Search of His Aurora Home
Aurora police have secured drug charges through the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office on a 50-year-old man after officers executed a search warrant at his home and seized cocaine, cannabis and cash.
The search warrant, served by APD Special Operations, Community Policing and K-9 units, was served around 4:30 p.m., March 8, at the home of Miguel A. Ramos in the 600 block of Flagg Street.
Ramos was taken into custody without incident and subsequently charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and manufacture and delivery of cannabis.
The manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance charge is a Class-X felony and calls for enhanced prison time upon conviction.
Seized from the home were 28.95 grams of cocaine, 54.24 grams of cannabis and $4,095 in cash.
Ramos is currently being held in the Kane County Jail.
The charges are not proof of guilt. Ramos is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial where it is the burden of the state to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
