Learn How To Use Radon Testing Kit at Free March 19 Education Event
Come join the Batavia Environment Commission and the Kane County Healthy Places Coalition Groups t4eat the Batavia Public Library for a free radon movie event, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 19.
There will be activities for all ages as well as hot soup and cocoa before and after the video and speaker presentation.
The movie will highlight the dangers of radon and ways families can prevent health risks. The audience will also learn how to use the radon testing kit and what the next steps will be.
A presentation will be done by ARMS Mitigation. The presenter will go over what mitigation — any process used to reduce radon gas concentrations in the breathing zones of occupied buildings — is and how it works. This event will also showcase student videos that have won the Radon competition in the past.
