Save The Date: Kane County Fair Will Celebrate 150 Years This Summer

The Kane County Fair will be celebrating its 150th birthday when it comes this summer to the Kane County Fairgrounds in St. Charles.

Fair organizers are asking Kane County residents to “save the date” and to take part in what they’re calling the “sesqui-FAIR-tennial” from July 18 to July 22.

Everything you need to know is posted on the Kane County Fair website, www.kanecountyfair.com/, but organizers are really hoping residents will take part by sharing fond memories.

“We are searching for YOUR favorite stories, memories and family photo experiences at the fair,” organizers said in a news release this week.
  • Do you have any photos from previous years?
  • Photos of the Kane County Fair at its previous locations, such as Wing Park in Elgin?
  • Special past 4-H moments?
  • Vintage items, ribbons, banners?

Please email your memories and photos to kanecountyfair@gmail.com.

The Kane County Fairgrounds are located in St. Charles, on Randall Road and Oak Street. For more information, sign up for email news or follow the fair’s Facebook page.
