The village of West Dundee is alerting drivers to a two-day emergency lane closure on IL Route 72 in downtown West Dundee.

The westbound lane of IL Route 72 (Main Street), between First Street and Second Street, will be reduced to one lane today (Monday, April 23, 218) and Tuesday to repair a water service leak.

If it is possible to do so, the lane could be reopened sooner than anticipated, village officials said.

The village is urging commuters to find alternate routes during this time frame to alleviate the congestion in this area.

“Your patience and cooperation are appreciated while repairs are made to the water main in this area,” officials said in a news release.
