Heads up if you’re driving through St. Charles the during the balance of the month of April.

The city of St. Charles is conducting concrete curb and infrastructure repairs on IL Route 64/Main Street, between 7th Avenue and 7th Street. Work is scheduled to begin April 11 and is expected to continue through April 27, weather permitting.

During the construction, an outside traffic lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to ensure a safe work zone. Work will be completed on both the north and south sides of the street at different times.

Please follow all traffic control signs and expect delays when driving through this area. You may want to take an alternate route.

Throughout the construction, brick work that sits just behind the curb where repairs are made will be disturbed. These areas will also be repaired once the concrete work is completed.

Geneva Construction of Aurora is the contractor for the project.
