The Fox River Ecosystem Partnership’s Noon Network features an expert on a topic a lot of folks in Kane County will find interesting: coyotes.

The Noon Network takes place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation, 14N322 IL-25, East Dundee.

Stanley D. Gehrt,

Stanley D. Gehrt, professor of wildlife ecology and extension wildlife specialist of the School of Environment and Natural Resources at The Ohio State University, will discuss “Urban Coyotes in the Chicago Region.”

Gehrt is regarded as an international expert on urban wildlife and his research has been featured in numerous print, radio, and television outlets.

This program is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required. Enter the main McGraw entrance gate off Rt. 25, turn left at the first intersection. Two parking areas are available. The program is in Pond Cottage, the large grey building near the parking area.

The Fox River Ecosystem Partnership was established in 1996 representing the entire Fox River Watershed in Illinois, covering 1,720 square miles situated within the counties of Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Lee, McHenry and Will. FREP membership includes individuals, governments, organizations and businesses that meet regularly “to promote, preserve, protect and enhance the natural, cultural, economic and recreational resources of Illinois’ Fox River and its watershed.”
