Looking for a great deal on a vehicle? There’s an amazing opportunity coming up June 16 at Kane County’s first-ever combined live surplus vehicle auction.
The auction combines surplus vehicles from the county fleet with those available through the Kane County Sheriff’s Seized Vehicle Auction — making a total of 36 vehicles available, including cars, pick-up trucks, sport utility vehicles, minivans, vans and other miscellaneous items.
The event is open to the public, and takes place Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 777 East Fabyan Parkway, Geneva.
Viewing of all items begins at 8 a.m. with the auction starting promptly at 10 a.m. Parking is available for patrons in the front lot of the building. Sheriff’s staff will be directing traffic.
Registration is required for this event and will begin at 8 a.m. on the day of the event.
Accepted forms of payment include cash, major credit cards (3 percent fee for credit cards), or good check with proper identification and bank letter of credit for purchases of more than $10,000. All items are required to be paid on the day of sale.
All items are sold “as is, where is,” and the seller is not responsible for accidents or items after they are sold.
Items are required to be paid for and removed on the day of sale unless approved by Reed’s General Merchandise. Announcements on the day of sale supersede all printed material, and items listed in the sale are subject to change.
A free auction class — “Bidder 101” — is available a half-hour before every auction.
