KDOT Installs New Multi-Way Stop at Dittman And McDonald Road
The Kane County Division of Transportation will post new signage and install a new overhead flashing beacon for a new multi-way stop at the intersection of Dittman Road and McDonald Road this week.
The new multi-way stop is anticipated to be in place by 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
The multi-way stop and overhead flashing beacon are being installed at this location as a safety enhancement. In the days leading up to May 16, KDOT will be deploying message boards to alert motorists of the coming change. Also, supplemental signage and warning flags will also be posted for the first several weeks to call special attention to the new configuration.
Starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, motorists traveling on Dittman Road should anticipate the need to stop at McDonald Road and exercise caution when approaching the intersection.

Motorist need to be prepared to reduce their speed, exercise caution, and be extra alert. Watch for construction workers, construction vehicles entering or leaving the site, and obey flaggers and other traffic control devices.
