• Editor’s Note: This article is part of a series on the Nov. 6 General Election ballot. Kane County Connects encourages citizens to take part in the election process and to seek multiple sources to inform their voting decisions.

Per state statute, the Kane County Clerk’s Office held a lottery Monday for party ballot placement for the Nov. 6, 2018, General Election.

As a result, Republican candidates will be listed first on the ballot, followed by Democrats and any independent or new party candidates.

The General Election includes numerous candidates for state, federal government, and countywide elected offices.

This will be the first election in which Kane County Clerk’s Office takes over the function of the Aurora Election Commission and oversees voting in the Kane County portion of Aurora.

Last Day to Register to Vote: Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018

Grace Period Registration & Voting:

• (ONLY at Kane County Elections Main Office): Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, through Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018

Extended Grace Period Registration & Voting:

• (Early and Election Day Polling Places): Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 through Monday, Nov. 5, 2018

Early Voting Period:

• (ONLY at Kane County Elections Main Office): Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, through Monday, Nov. 5, 2018
