Reminder: June 27 Is Kane Citizens’ Chance to Weigh in on 2050 Regional Plan

If you care about the long-range planning — housing, business growth, regional transportation, economic development, environment, air quality — you’ll have your best chance for input from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27.

That’s when Kane County will be hosting an open house event for all residents who want to learn about and share input on CMAP’s draft ONTO 2050 Plan.

Attendees will have the opportunity to review the draft plan materials, ask questions of CMAP staff and provide comments to shape the final version of the plan to be published in the fall.

The content sections of the draft plan are available online for browsing or you can download the full plan as a PDF.

CMAP will also seek your feedback on the draft 2019-24 Transportation Improvement Program and air quality conformity analysis of proposed regional transportation projects.

The open house will be held at the Kane County Government Center Auditorium, 719 South Batavia Avenue, Geneva. This will be one of several open house events held around the region, beginning this week and running through the end of July.
