Water Main Break Causes Lane Closures on Route 72 in East Dundee
The village of East Dundee has advised this morning (Wednesday, June 6, 2018) that the water main located beneath Route 72 at 12 E. Main St. (bridal shop) is leaking and in need of repair.

The work will require closure of both westbound lanes. Two-way traffic will be maintained, but in the eastbound lanes. Officials ask drivers to use caution when traveling through this area, or consider an alternative route.
The repair is scheduled to take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 6). An estimation for when the lanes may be reopened has not been provided at this time.

No Through Traffic on 600 Block of South Second Street
South Second Street, between Garrison and Dunning (just north of South End Park), will be closed to through traffic beginning at 7 a.m. today (Wednesday, June 6) to repair the street.
These repairs, being made by a private contractor, will eliminate the unintended “speed bump” that was the result of a private sewer line repair late last fall.
It is expected that the street will be reopened by Friday evening.
Ingress and egress to the 600 block of South Second Street will be available to local traffic on either side of the repair site.
