St. Charles Will Share the Cost if Residents Want a Parkway Tree
St. Charles Residents can purchase a new parkway tree, and the city of St. Charles will pay half the cost of the tree and plant it through the city’s 50/50 Parkway Tree Program.
To obtain a tree, contact the Public Works Department at 630-377-4405 to request a review of your parkway.

“The city’s arborist will review the parkway to determine which trees will be the best fit for each location,” said Public Services Manager A.J. Reineking. “The spacing of existing trees, the proximity to hardscapes, and the height of overhead power lines are all things to take into consideration when choosing a parkway tree.”
All requests must have an approved parkway review before a tree order will be placed. Once approved, residents will receive a confirmation letter, an order form and details on how to order a 50/50 parkway tree. The deadline to order is Aug. 17, 2018.
