The village of Campton Hills is seeking a village resident to fill the vacancy of Village Trustee Laura Andersen, who is relocating out of the village boundaries, Campton Hills Village President Harry Blecker announced.

“In an effort to fulfill my campaign promise of openness, and an effort to have new people involved in village government, I am reaching out to you,” Blecker said in the village’s Community Counts e-newsletter. “If you are interested in becoming a village trustee, and being of service to your community, this may be the opportunity you have been waiting for.

The requirements for this appointment are simple. You must be a resident of the village of Campton Hills for at least one year and a registered voter. You are not eligible if you are in debt to the village or have been convicted of a felony.

The appointment expires May 7, 2019.

This position requires that you attend evening meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month and come prepared to vote on regulations and policies governing the village.
