Anderson Animal Shelter to Hold Mega Adoption Event in Algonquin
Don’t miss out! Find the cat, dog, kitten or puppy of your dreams at Anderson’s first (and ONLY!) Mega Adoption Event in Algonquin in 2018.
The MEGA Adoption event will feature more than 50 spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped animals — dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens — ready to make YOUR home their forever home!
The event will be held from 11 am to 5 pm, Saturday, Aug. 4, and Sunday, Aug. 5,at the Petco in Algonquin, 702 S. Randall Road.
This life-saving event is made possible through a special partnership with Petco. All animals are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Each adoption comes with a free vet exam from a participating clinic and one month of free pet health insurance.

“Our 2017 Algonquin event was a huge success, with over 30 animals finding homes in one weekend,” said Beth Foster, CEO of Anderson Animal Shelter, “Our goal is to find 50 animals their forever homes at our 2018 event, saving 100-plus lives in one weekend — the 50 that get adopted and the 50 we can bring in once space is available at the shelter.”
