Aurora Police Seek Public’s Help In Investigation After Skeletal Remains Found in Fox River
The Kendall County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday (Aug. 7, 2018) identified human skeletal remains located Saturday, Aug. 4, in the Fox River as those of Trey Nathan Key Soesbe, 30, of Aurora, a man who had been reported missing more than two years ago.
According the Coroner’s Office news release, Soesbe had been reported missing Dec. 29, 2015, by the Aurora Police Department after being dropped off at the Hesed Houses, a homeless shelter located at 659 S. River St. in Aurora. Officials said Soesbe did not check in or stay in Hesed House on the night of Dec. 29, 2015.
The remains were found in a part of the Fox River in unincorporated Kendall County. According to a report in the Daily Herald, the remains were discovered by Doug Bosco, “a kayaker who pulled on a boot that was snagged in debris and saw there were bones inside.”
The Aurora Police Department is working with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office in the continuing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the APD Investigations Unit at 630-256-5500.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Trey Soesbe,” the APD wrote on its Facebook page.
