A 26-year-old Aurora man died Thursday (Aug. 23, 2018) after his motorcycle drove off the road on Jericho Road in unincorporated Aurora Township.

According to a Kane County Sheriff’s Office news release, Austin Willmann was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Jericho Road at around 12:45 a.m. Thursday, when his motorcycle went off the road and crashed on the north side of Jericho Road just east of Whitlock Avenue.

Sheriff’s deputies said Willmann was found unresponsive near the motorcycle. He was transported to an Aurora-area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Sheriff’s Office said there were no witnesses to the crash, and it is unknown why the motorcycle went off the road. Willmann was not wearing a helmet.

Sheriff detectives have not ruled out if alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash.
