Sunday Single-Car Crash Takes Life of Elgin Man
A 22-year-old Elgin man was killed Sunday when his car crashed into a tree at the intersection of Waverly Drive and Waverly Court in Elgin.
According to the Elgin Police Department, police and fire personnel reported to the intersection at around 2:47 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2009 Infiniti sedan crashed into a tree. The car’s driver, a 22-year-old male from the 800 block of Logan Ave., Elgin, was transported to Advocate Sherman Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
He was the sole occupant of the car.
