10 Best Kane Middle Schools on Niche’s 2019 List
There are thousands of public middle schools in Illinois, so making a ranking of the best in the state is kind of a big deal.
Three Kane County schools have made the top 100 in Niche’s 2019 Best Public Middle Schools in Illinois, and many more were highly ranked.
The standings were based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education.
Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, middle school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district.
Four Kane County middle schools were ranked in the top 100 in the state.
Kane County’s No. 1 middle school, for the second year in a row, was Haines in St. Charles, which was ranked 50th in the state. Wredling Middle School, also in St. Charles School District 303, was No. 2 in Kane County and No. 66 in Illinois.
The No. 3 middle school in Kane County is Geneva Middle School South, ranked 92nd in Illinois, and the No. 4 was Central Middle School in School District 301.
This year’s No. 1 ranking in Illinois went to Kennedy Junior High School in Lisle, which scored an A+ in academics and teachers and an A- in diversity. Kennedy is part of Naperville School District 203, which captured the first four places on Niche’s 2019 list of best middle schools in Illinois.
