How to Run for Library Trustee Workshop This Tuesday at Dundee Library
Now, there’s something you don’t see every day ā a library workshop on how to be a library trustee.
The workshop on how to run for library trustee will be presented at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Dundee Library. The library is located at 555 Barrington Ave. (IL Route 68) in East Dundee.
Fall is the season for deciding whether to throw your hat in the ring to run for office as petitions must be filed in December.
Four seats on the Fox River Valley Public Library District Board of Trustees will be filled by voters in the consolidated election on April 2, 2019.
Trustees serve in a voluntary capacity for four-year terms. The public library is an important community institution that makes a difference in the lives of its residents. The workshop will review the process for circulating and filing nomination petitions for the office of library trustee.
Informational packets will be provided, so please register in advance. Register online at www.frvpld.info, call 847-428-3661, press 3, or in person. Please contact Karen Werle at kwerle@frvpld.info or (224) 699-5832 with any questions.
The district serves 70,000 residents of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Gilberts, and parts of Algonquin.
