Kane Cities, Villages Offer 2019 Consolidated Election Candidate Guide, Packets
Information and packets for the 2019 municipal races are available at most Kane County village and city halls.

City of Geneva Offers Candidates Guide For 2019 Election
Residents interested in running for aldermen on the Geneva City Council in 2019 can find a candidate guide posted on the city’s website.
The guide, which provides election information on how to file for candidacy and all required forms, is available on the city’s website homepage. Nominating petitions may not be circulated prior to Tuesday, Sept. 18.
One aldermanic seat in each of the city’s five wards are up for election next year. Each position carries a four-year term.
Candidates can file their petitions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays from Monday, Dec. 10, through Monday, Dec. 17, at Geneva City Hall, 109 James St.
The candidates will run in the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election.

Algonquin Offers Candidate Packets
Election Packets for the 2019 village of Algonquin Consolidated Election were made available beginning Tuesday, Sept.18, 2018.
Courtesy packets can be obtained electronically at www.algonquin.org/electionpacket
Three village trustee seats are up for election; each a four-year term.

Elgin 2019 Municipal Election Information Available
Petitions for candidacy for the 2019 Elgin municipal election are available in the City Clerk’s Office located in City Hall, Room 202, 150 Dexter Court. The Elgin City Council will have the position of mayor, four council seats for a four-year term and one council seat for a two-year term open in the 2019 election.
Petitions for nomination must be filed with the City Clerk’s Office no sooner than 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, and no later than 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2018. The placement of names on the ballot will be in the order of filing.
The City Clerk’s Office will not accept any petition for filing after 5 p.m. on the last day of the filing period. This applies to any individual(s) waiting in line as of the 5 p.m. deadline who has not yet filed his/her petition(s).
