ECC to Host Oct. 9 Manufacturing, Technology Job Fair
Elgin Community College will host a career fair focused on jobs in manufacturing and technology on Tuesday, Oct. 9, in Building O, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.
This year, separate daytime and evening sessions of the event will be held to offer better convenience to job seekers. The fair, which is free and open to the public, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and then again from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. the same evening.
More than 30 employers looking to hire in automotive technology; commercial driving; energy management; heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration; and other manufacturing-related careers including computer-aided design, engineering and welding will be in attendance.
Representatives will be on site to meet job seekers, offer information about their company and the position they are hiring for and to answer questions.
Attendees are encouraged to research the full list of participating employers prior to attending the event. It is strongly recommended that attendees bring plenty of resumes to the job fair, dress appropriately and prepare a list of questions for potential employers.
The list of employers attending and tips to prepare can be found at collegecentral.com/elgin. While visiting the site, users can also register for an account to search for open job opportunities, upload their resumes, apply for open positions, create a portfolio and more.
