It’s Winter Weather Preparedness Week here in Kane County, IL, and throughout the area — appropriate considering the bitter cold this morning and the very real possibility that we’re in for the long haul.

One piece of good news is that the NOAA is predicting a slightly milder winter overall for the 2018-19 season.
