POW! Say Hello To Dolly, The Cutest Puppy Ever

When you’re a stray dog running alone down the Avenue of Unknown, the world can appear to be a very scary place, especially if those that have been entrusted to care for you, to hold you when you’re scared, feed you when you’re hungry, put you to bed when you’re exhausted from so much running and playing, no longer want you or can’t be bothered to look for you.
Dolly
Say hello to Dolly, an 8-month-old Pit Bull pup that was found as a stray in Montgomery. Scared, cowering under a car, just surviving by her young instincts minute by minute, she came to KCAC depressed and unable to eat.
After three to four days of vet care and lots of love and caring from the shelter staff, Dolly turned the corner. No longer depressed, her sweet personality began to emerge. Did she dare show her puppy side? If she sat pretty and quiet, could she get more cuddling and petting sessions?
She seems to enjoy playing with other dogs, but the bigger the dog, the more intimidating they might appear to her. It takes time for a former stray to trust the world again, but Dolly is ready, willing and able to find her forever family.
Are you ready to say, “Hello, Dolly! It’s so nice to have you back where you belong!”
How to Adopt
All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines, including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.
The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300, and adoption of two cats is $150. The adoption fee for cockatiels is $25.

About Kane County Animal Control
It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:
Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against rabies and have a Kane County rabies tag.- Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
- Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
- Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
