West Dundee Winter Parking Ban Begins Nov. 1
In case you needed a reminder that winter weather is on the way, look no further than today’s announcement from the West Dundee Police Department.
Yes, today (Nov. 1, 2018) is the first day the village’s winter street parking ban goes into effect. Nov. 1 is the official first day each year for the ordinance that bans parking on village streets between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the case of heavy snowfall.
The purpose of the winter parking ban, of course, is to aid in snow removal.
If a vehicle in West Dundee must be parked on the street temporarily during the ban, contact QuadCom at 847-428-8784 or enter your vehicle information online. Please be aware, however, that in the event of two or more inches of snowfall, the vehicle may have to be moved at your expense and/or ticketed.
The parking ban will remain in effect until April 1, 2019.
