The Kane County Board held a special meeting today (Monday, Dec. 3, 2018) to administer the oath of office to seven new board members and newly elected Sheriff Ron Hain as well as to consider new assignments for County Board committees.

Surrounded by family members, friends, co-workers and former Kane County Sheriff Pat Perez, Hain took the oath of office administered by 16th Circuit Court Judge Rene Cruz.

Kane County Board Chairman Chris Lauzen recommended and the board unanimously approved Angela Thomas to serve as County Board vice chair.
