Celebrate The New Year With a Morning Hike at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve
Start the new year with a healthy hike in the wintry woods!
Bring the whole family, or come on your own, on this special holiday hike. You and forest preserve naturalists will look for the first animal tracks made in the New Year’s snow. You’ll also look at trees, seeds, and other surprises from Mother Nature.
There will be coffee and cocoa inside Creek Bend Nature Center, after the hike.
The hike takes place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve. The free hike is for participants of all ages.
Advance registration is required. Call 630-444-3190 or email programs@kaneforest.com to register.
LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve is located at 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.
