Welcome to Week 10, the finale, the final hurrah of the 2018 Regional Office of Education Student Photo Contest. We cannot thank the students and teachers enough for all the contributions throughout the last two months that make this contest grow in size once again. Are you ready to hear the final numbers?!

(Drum roll, please.)

We had a total of 2,184 submissions this year — which was up from 993 last year! This effort to highlight the arts in Kane County couldn’t be possible without the time and coordination of our highly-skilled teachers.

Please make sure to join us for the Kane County Student Photography Exhibition from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at a new location this year!

The event will be held at the Batavia Fine Arts Center, 1201 Main St. in Batavia. We will have appetizers provided by the Culinary Arts at Batavia High School, orchestra music by Batavia High School along with 10 trophies from Image Awards for the weekly winners!
