The Kane County Treasurer’s Office has some real estate deals that are just flat out amazing — but you’d better act fast, because there’s a Jan. 11 deadline.

The Treasurer’s Office is in Building A of the Kane County Government Center campus, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Geneva.

County Treasurer David J. Rickert announced today (Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019) that his office has completed tax deed proceedings on real estate properties that were delinquent for 2014 and mobile homes that were delinquent for 2015.

What that means is that Kane County will now accept sealed bids on 95 real estate properties and two mobile homes — and right now the prices are low, low, low.

The required minimum bid on real estate is $512. The required minimum bid on mobile homes is $545.

All items will be sold to the highest sealed bid received.

How do you go about getting in on the bidding?

All sealed bids must be received in the Kane County Treasurer’s Office no later than the close of business on Jan. 11, 2019.
