CASA Kane County’s Annual Children’s Champion Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 2, at the Q Center in St. Charles. This celebration event helps raise the much needed funds so CASA can continue serving 100 percent of all children coming into abuse/neglect and probate courts.

The event expects to draw in nearly 900 guests to help the county’s most vulnerable children by providing them a voice in court.

Guests will enjoy extraordinary live entertainment, dinner, dancing and auction items that include travel packages on a private plane, private and one of a kind upscale dining experiences, popular high-end Chicago sporting team tickets, VIP theatre packages with luxury transportation and more.

Attendees will be immersed in lavish décor, fine dining, signature cocktails and dancing to the live band of SODA.

Gloria Kelley, CASA executive director, said this year’s theme, “The Places You’ll Go” is reflective on a global and local scale to bring the awareness needed to our community members to help the county’s most vulnerable youth.

“Abuse and neglect is a global concern and CASA Kane County strives to be proactive in our community, but it is everyone’s duty to play a part,” she said. “We have an amazing amount of camaraderie with so many selfless individuals involved with the organization. All of these wonderful people have such a contagious ‘all-in’ attitude with an ongoing passion for children who have been abused and/or neglected.”

Larry and Paula Hayes are the Children’s Champion couple.

CASA Kane County is honored to present Larry and Paula Hayes of Anchor Spa & Pool, Inc. as the Children’s Champion couple and Michael and Rosalind Lusk, of Lusk Law LLC and Sojourn Salon as the honorary chairs.

“The organization is extremely grateful to these two incredible couples for their big hearts to better serve the needs of our organization,” Kelley said.

For more than 30 years, CASA Kane County has been recruiting, training and supervising community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates and the Guardian ad Litem for children in court due to abuse, neglect or private guardianship.

The CASA volunteer acts as the eyes and ears of the judge to help make the best decision for a safe, caring and permanent home for each child.

The organization serves 100 percent of all abuse/neglect and private guardianship cases in the 16th Judicial Circuit of Kane County and has been doing this since 2002. CASA Kane County’s 20 staff and 250 active CASA/GAL volunteers advocate for more than 500 children annually!
