Presented here is a brief photo story of the extreme cold of the past couple days.

For the record, and for anyone who Googles this a century from now, we’re talking Jan. 30 and Jan. 31, 2019 — what almost certainly is the coldest 48-hour period in Kane County history.

These are just a few photos taken in Geneva from my cell phone camera. I’d love to see photos from all parts of Kane County.

With this article, I’m inviting any and all Kane County Connects readers to share their photos of the cold. (Hopefully shot from someplace warm. We can’t forget the danger that goes with cold as low as -30 and wind chills as low as -54.)

Share your photos via email to kanecountyconnects@gmail.com or posting on the Kane County Connects Facebook page.
