Planning a Valentine’s Day Wedding? Kane County Clerk’s Office Has News For You

Hey, Kane County lovebirds!

Planning a wedding, or maybe an elopement on Valentine’s Day this year?

Well, you’re in luck. The Kane County Clerk’s office issues marriage licenses to couples who are getting married in Kane County as well as serves as the official record keeper for marriages. The Clerk’s Office Department of Vital Records provides copies of these documents for eligible individuals upon request.

Couples please arrive no later than a half hour before the close of business to complete the marriage application. Marriage applications take 30 minutes to process.

Hours are extended on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., so maybe Feb. 6 is the day for you. Remember, too, that the Clerk’s Office now has two offices — the main office in Building B at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Geneva, and the branch office in Aurora, 5 E. Downer Place, Suite F.
